A single common thread ideally connected the Eataly stores in Milan, Turin, Rome, and Munich. For Christmas 2023, Immagine & Luce created a coordinated decoration for the spaces, all adorned with a series of green wreaths decorated with red and gold spheres, embellished with oranges, cinnamon sticks, and pinecones. To complement the decor, a warm, diffused light enveloped visitors in a truly festive atmosphere.
In Milan and Turin, the centerpiece was a cascade of glowing globes, artfully arranged to suggest the outline of a very special Christmas tree. To highlight its presence, a red ribbon bearing the Eataly logo wrapped around it. Completing the setup, both inside and outside, were a number of traditionally decorated Christmas trees.
“Dreams are wishes,” sang Cinderella. And they came true during Christmas 2022 at City Life, the Milanese shopping district where Immagine & Luce developed an exclusive cartoon-themed installation. From Minnie and Mickey Mouse to Pocahontas and Sheriff Woody from Toy Story, the most beloved characters from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel transformed the shopping center into an enchanted place.
Welcomed by the glowing portraits of fan-favorite characters, both young and old, visitors found a gigantic tree on the upper floor adorned with lights and stars, featuring some of the most famous quotes from Walt Disney films.
Inside City Life, a second tree appeared to be brought to life by the magic of Tinker Bell, Peter Pan’s fairy. Perched at the top of the pine, she seemed to create glowing, colorful shapes with the touch of her wand. All around, a parade of themed allegories added to the unconventional Christmas atmosphere.
One pedal stroke and, as if by magic, the Christmas tree lights up with an unexpected warm glow. In the spirit of sustainability, the installation at the Lingotto Shopping Center in Turin was created by Immagine & Luce in collaboration with Enel Energia. Six bicycles were available for visitors to generate the energy needed to turn on the lights, a fun and effective activity to raise awareness of the need for energy savings. To still preserve the festive impact of the installation, the tree was decorated with a myriad of super colorful discs.
In the late afternoon, an explosion of light. Athletes from the youth basketball teams of Turin took turns every day to ensure the traditional Christmas atmosphere.
